My Alarm is Muted
Occasionally, you might face a muted alarm. This could be due to your alarm volume settings or because of no sound selected for your alarm.
Following, we will guide you through our troubleshooting to address a muted alarm.
Check for Updates
First of all, please ensure your Awake app and iOS are up to date, as a not updated version can cause a lot of trouble.
Check Alarm Sound Settings
Please check that you've actually set an alarm sound in your Awake alarm schedule settings. To do so:
Open your Awake alarm schedule.
Tap Sounds in the Alarm section.
Ensure an alarm sound is selected, not None.
Check Alarm Volume Settings
Please check that your alarm sound volume is set to a sufficient volume. To do so:
Open your general Settings app.
Tap Sounds & Haptics.
Ensure the slider in your Ringtone and Alerts section is set to a sufficient volume. Moreover, ensure the Change with Buttons is disabled to avoid accidental muting of your alarm sound when changing your device's volume, e.g. when watching a video.
